How does this work for my personal Income Tax (ITR)?
Stashq handles GST on the retail sale, while the money we pay you is your business income to declare in your ITR at your normal tax slab. Your payout statement itemises every sale and its breakdown for your tax records, and no tax is deducted at source.
What if I already have a GST number?
Stashq still invoices buyers under our own GSTIN, and you do not issue invoices to buyers. Because you supply the product to Stashq at a wholesale price, your payout is inclusive of any tax your registration requires you to account for on that supply. We do not collect your GSTIN or add tax on top of your payout.
When and how do I actually get the money in my bank?
Payouts are sent directly to your verified bank account per sale rather than on a monthly schedule. Each sale is held until the product’s refund window closes (3 days, 7 days, or none). If a buyer opens a refund request before the window ends, the hold stays in place until the request is resolved. Once released, bank settlement takes about two working days.
What file types and sizes can I host?
You can upload any file format, up to 64 GB per file, with resumable multi-part uploads and multiple files per product. Your total storage depends on your plan: 10 GB on Free, 50 GB on Creator, and 200 GB on Pro, with optional extra storage available on Pro.
What happens if a buyer asks for a refund or disputes a charge?
Buyers can request a refund within the refund window you set for the product. You can message the buyer and have 48 hours to respond; if you do not respond in time, we issue a full refund automatically. Because earnings are held during the refund window, refunds never pull money back from your bank account. As the merchant of record, Stashq handles card disputes and chargebacks directly.
Can I take my files and leave whenever I want?
Yes. Your products are non-exclusive, so you keep full rights to your work and can sell them anywhere else. There is no lock-in or exit fee. If you delete a product, existing buyers get a grace period to download their files before they are removed. If you close your account, we delete your account data and files, except for past sale and tax records that GST law requires us to retain for 72 months.
